St. Casimir's Parish

Polish National Catholic Church

268 Lakeview Avenue - Lowell, Massachusetts 01850 USA

Father Tenus celebrated a special service on Memorial Day, May 30th, at St. Casimir's PNCC cemetery. The weather was perfect for an outdoor mass that honored our Polish American veterans and deceased members of our parish who served in the armed forces.

The service began with a welcome from Irene Jaracz of the PAV Ladies Auxiliary of Lowell. PAV Chaplain Fr. Tenus, wearing his dress blues, gave the blessing, after which Janice Klimczak sang the Polish national anthem and the Star Spangled banner. The PAV Honor Guard of Lowell, represented by Thomas Stupakewicz and Joseph Kazalski, honored the dead with a three-volley salute.

Following this dedication to our veterans, we celebrated mass at our outdoor altar surrounded by the beautiful landscaping provided by our hardworking cemetery crew - Robert Hunt, Robert Ferus, and Tom McNiff.
