Annual Cathedral of the Pines Service, Rindge, NH
The Annual service at Cathedral of the Pines took place on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 3:30 pm.
Vespers were celebrated, led by Bishop Sobiechowski, diocesan bishop, accompanied by Karen Sobiechowski on the organ. Father Senior Fryderyk Banas (Ware, MA) and Father Senior Joseph Soltysiak (Westfield, MA) were present as well as Father Andrzej Tenus (Lowell, MA), Father Adam Czarnecki (Northampton, MA) and Father Pawel Lukaszewicz (Chicopee, MA), Father Robert Koerber (supply priest).
The sermon was preached by Father Lukaszewicz based on the Gospel reading for the day: Matthew 11:25-30, specifically: “ Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” He finished his homily with an original song accompanying himself on the guitar and keyboard.
